AdMob research shows iPhone and Android device users are similar in accessing downloadable apps and the time spent using them. In contrast, 50% of iPhone users purchase one app a month compared to 21% of Android users. Overall webOS users downloaded fewer paid and free apps.

According to MacRumors, Apple approved close to 1400 iPhone apps last Friday, by far the largest number approved in a single day in the past few months. Over 300 of the approved applications were games.
