The FCC has approved the recently released HTC Hero. The handset supports 850/1900 MHz 3G bands which makes it compatible with AT&T's network. Sprint is also rumored to pick up the Hero sometime in the near future, but we need to see a CDMA version on the FCC site first....

GSM HTC Hero will probably never hit The States with its US 3G compatibility. However a screenshot has been exposed by Engadget which pretty much verifies plans by HTC to release an HTC Hero for Sprint’s CDMA network. Sprint HTC Hero is expected to be supported by the HTC’s website site in the near future.
