Now that the Kogan Agora has been virtually shelved doesn’t mean the Australians are going to be missing out on all that Google Android goodness as today Optus and HTC is releasing the G1 in Australia. Apparently support manuals slipped out in January so supports the claim but there was no timeframe allotted. Most await new

G1 Landing in Australia Tomorrow? Optus and HTC could be releasing the G1 in Australia tomorrow via Optus, no doubt to the chagrin of Kogan, who had won over plenty of attention to their Android-packing Agora handsets, only to have them indefinitely delayed. HTC Dream Android phone launched officially in Asia Looks like today HTC finally made it’s  G1 Android powered smartphone global with Asian release of HTC Dream. T-Mobile G1 coming to Asia It looks like HTC’s Android-powered G1 phone has taken another step to becoming global, as it has been officially announced in Singapore and Australia, and will be available via Singtel and Optus networks respectively. We are enlighten that the Android phone will be available in Singapore is HTC Dream (without G1 label).
