1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   November 22, 2008

This case will not fit my Iphone. Cannot get it to click and close. So I don't even know if it works. Just holding it together with my hands didn't give me any better signal. RETURN......

5 out of 5 stars Don't expect miracles, but it does work.   November 16, 2008

I ordered this product on the off chance it might actually work. Well, I can tell you it does help. I have tested it in many areas where I have had little to no signal in the past and the phone stayed connected with a signal about 70% of the time, which is a vast improvement over dropping my calls. HOWEVER, a dead zone is still a dead zone. This isn't a miracle, just a relay for the signal for where you cover up the antenna at the bottom of the phone with your hand when talking. If you buy this with realistic expectations and understand it helps prevent, not cure every dropped call, you will be pleased.

4 out of 5 stars Five stars if you exclude looks   October 11, 2008

This case completely altered my iPhone experience- so much so that I bought an extra one in case something happens to the original. As an early adopter of the iPhone, I was dropping every other call and couldn't figure out why my phone would fluctuate between one and four bars every three seconds. At the time I wasn't sure whether it was the phone or AT&T's service, but it got so bad that I nearly stopped using my phone entirely. I've since learned that the antenna is at the bottom of the phone and my hand was blocking reception. This case directs the antenna's reception upwards, where it should be. Since purchasing this case, my reception is 200 times better. Out of the dozens of cases out there, this is the only one that brings something new and worthwhile to the table- why else would you detract from the phone's looks?!

1 out of 5 stars DO NOT EVEN GIVE IT A CHANCE - really.   September 16, 2008
Jeffrey Drew (Seattle & @jeffdrew)
You'd hope that it will work for you, in your area of town, state, or the country. But buying it, trying it, declaring it garbage or reselling it to some other poor unwarned person, and that's not nice... Is just too much of a hassle. This item has no appearance of function, what-so-ever. IT IS a protective case. But with the dongle thingy, it is more obtrusive than other protective cases you can find.

I can't believe Griffin went to market with a product this bad. I have always liked/loved their other products, and I am shocked they went forward considering that consumers, like myself, are ultimately write the case reviews like this one.

Don't do it. It is really simple. ---- Don't.

I have nothing to lose or gain by this review, but you have about $45 bucks to lose if you don't follow this advice.
