iPhone and iPod Touch get Netflix queue management thanks to i.TV It took a while, as it typically does, but once again an App Store app has brought official iPhone / iPod Touch support for something a jailbroken app has provided for over a year. This time, it’s Netflix queue management. Like iFlix, a widely popular app for jailbroken Apple handsets, i.TV has now added Netflix

Google may have pushed out recent firmware updates for the Google Android T-Mobile G1, but it seems they weren’t quite quick enough for one hacker. Apparently Jay Freeman who just happens to be the author of such Apple iPhone programs as Cydia, Winterboard and Cycorder, has managed to get Debian running on the jailbroken T-Mobile

Debian gets ported to the G1, makes nice with Android Recent firmware updates may have aimed to shut down such shenanigans, but it looks they were a little too slow to stop Jay Freeman (a.k.a. Saurik) from going to town with his newly jailbroken G1 and installing Debian on the handset. What's more, he apparently even managed to get Debian and Android to play nice with each other, letting you have a completely normal and unassuming phone by day a...

Google Updates the 'Jailbroken' Android After hackers ridiculed Google's OS for G1 mobiles by bypassing it in no time, Google came out just as strong and fast with an update that placed everything right back where it all started. To be more explicit, this update is repairing all the flaws in the old system and getting G1 users to their previous status, showing the XDA hacker community once aga...

Google's Android Has Been 'Jailbroken' This translates into very good news for G1 owners who now have a way to use the few inaccessible portions on the phone's Linux-based OS, which were, according to the manufactures, created to protect the system from any type of infestation. After some voices claimed that people should have ...

Hacked iPhone made to work with Palm Keyboard We’ve seen a couple of ridiculous add-ons built for the iPhone, but this latest accessory is definitely one of the more functional ones we’ve seen. Although this isn’t yet totally official, an iPhone hacker has managed to make a Palm keyboard work with his jailbroken iPhone. I’ll be the first one to admit that it

Google Android T-Mobile G1 Jailbroken Found under: android, smartphone, jailbreak, xda developers, linux, The XDA Developers Forum have figured out how to gain full access to the G1s code and jailbreak it entirely. Like the iPhone before it the G1 is not easy to jailbreak but if you just follow some simple instructions then everything will be merry. Once you have jailbroken the device you will then gain full access and the ability to ...

Official AT&T iPhone tethering solution coming soon, says AT&T CEO While it’s nothing like a solid (or even vague) launch window, AT&T’s CEO Ralph De La Vega was quoted as saying that AT&T would be offering an official iPhone tethering solution “soon.” While unofficial iPhone tethering solutions have been available on jailbroken iPhones for some time now, and there was even an official iPhone tethering application
