The Boy Genius Report has scored a photo of the forthcoming Motorola Alexander, which is scheduled for a fourth quarter release. The form factor is a landscape-oriented Windows Mobile Standard phone with the display sliding over a QWERTY keyboard, much like the BlackJack Slider, otherwise known as the Samsung i620 smartphone. There hasn't been too much news from the world of BlackBerry this week, which leads me to believe we're nearing an announcement on the Bold. Or maybe I'm just being hopelessly optimistic. We'll talk more about that in the BBGeekcast. For today, though, we're going to treat you to some in-depth info on the BlackBerry Bold. The boys at Boy Genius Report do a video walk-through. I kinda wish they had

This is filed under the rumor section for now, but The Boy Genius Report is speculating that the Windows Mobile Professional touchscreen BlackJack is coming to AT&T this fall in October. The new device is reportedly slightly thicker than the BlackJack and BlackJack II, but will pack a touchscreen that is flushed, a 3-megapixel shooter, and aGPS for fast coordinates. Hip hip, hooray! Okay, so maybe the outlook isn't all smiles and sunshine. But hey, when you've been used to the current BlackBerry browser, the Bold seems like Firefox to the old AOL browser. Boy Genius Report walks us through the browser, and shows us its good points and shortcomings. Of course, they also compare it to the iPhone browser, which is certainly better at this point. Leave it to the Boy Genius Report to give us the good news/bad news of the day. While we try not to run with too many rumors on BBGeeks, the ones we've heard from BGR have been fairly accurate in the past. So it comes with great regret to inform you that one day after posting a monstrous review of the BlackBerry Bold, BGR is hearing that we might not see the device on shelves until September (I al

After the tornado of talk surrounding Blackberry's full touchscreen smartphone Thunder, our friends over at The Boy Genius report that this model is not even close to making the hoped for 3rd quarter deadline of 2008. The speculation is that this model will require another 4-6 months. According to embedded Boy Genius Ninjas, the UI is

Although the on-screen keyboard of the new BlackBerry Thunder sounds good on paper, it is still not even near ready for primetime. The screen ripples when pressed, the interface lags, and response time is slow. It is also interesting to know from The Boy Genius Report that RIM actually placed clickable buttons on the screen corners: Our guy, when talking about haptic feedback, said that the screen
