Total bids in the FCC 700MHz auction have jumped to over $6 billion after the third full day, with $3.42 billion bid for the C Block. The C Block has a reserve price of $4.6 billion.

The FCC's 700 MHz auction starts tomorrow (Blog Runner). The NY Times says it is expected to include multibillion-dollar bids from the nation's two biggest wireless phone companies, Verizon and AT&T, as well as Google. Frontline, which was expected to bid on 22 mhz for shared public safety/pubic service use, closed it's doors for business
